Building materials for insulation - to keep the heat in the room

     The duration of the effect depends directly on the type of materials for thermal insulation. Applying cheap analogs, some careless builders cause a negative opinion about the expediency of such procedures. Alteza company in its work uses only high-quality dense foam plastic, reliable sealants and paints for insulation and reconstruction of the building's facade. This approach ensures compliance with the thermal effect for up to 30 years or more.

Building materials for insulation - only quality, durability and efficiency

External insulation of the facade of the house is a whole complex of measures. It is unrealistic to independently conduct this kind of work. Here we need specialists with access to work at height, as well as special equipment, tools and materials.

The main element of house insulation is polystyrene foam. It is a gasket between the wall outside the house and a new layer of plaster and paint. This is the most important part of the insulation of the room. Which is better to buy polystyrene - know the qualified specialists of the company Alteza. Employees of Alteza do not use cheap analogues in their work, so that the result will please them for many years.

The use of a thick foam in the insulation ensures protection from the appearance of mold, fungus and damp indoors. Of no less importance is the steady adherence to process technology, as well as the quality of other materials used in the work:

  • glue;
  • reinforced mesh;
  • liquid rubber;
  • fasteners;
  • putty;
  • paint, resistant to the sun, rain and snow.

If at least one component of the complex of works is of inadequate quality, the insulation will not last long. Materials can not be saved!

Warming of the facade of the house in Poltava

A full calculation of the cost of procedures for warming the room is carried out even before the start of work, based on the costs of the necessary materials. The prices are announced by phone or at the first meeting with the master making the estimate. Also, samples of works are shown on a free-of-charge measurement, and it is discussed what accesses are needed, namely: provision with water, electricity and entrance to the attic of the house.

Trying to save on materials, the result is deplorable. On our site you will see reviews and examples of our work, as well as the results of the activities offering budget prices, firms - fly-by-night in Poltava. The materials used in our activity make it possible to guarantee 3 years for all types of services. In fact, such insulation lasts for several decades, maintaining the brightness of the appearance of the facade.

After acquaintance with photos and video clips on the site, it's easy to make a conclusion about where the real savings are.

Market represents a wide range of construction materials. So there is a question: how to make a right decision and identify the best qualitative and the most appropriate materials at affordable price?

Let's consider the most popular materials for the heat insulation of facades.

Basalt wool:

It has excellent heat insulating characteristics. This material consists of thin insulating fibers (the thickness is about 3-5 μm)

All of the fibers are intertwined chaotically, forming the cells. These cells are responsible for good heat insulating characteristics of the basalt wool, because they have air inside.

Comparing to other building materials, basalt wool has the highest density (contains much air). Thermal conductivity of basalt wool in its dry condition is little bigger than thermal conductivity of the still air.

Benefits of using basalt wool as a material for heat insulation: environmental friendliness, soundproofing, fire resistance, durability (depending on professional installation), vapor permeability. Wool doesn`t emit any harmful fumes.

But using of this construction material has some disadvantages: high cost, big weight on cubic meter, wool loses all of its insulating properties with prolonged contact with water.

One of the most well-known manufacturers of basalt wool are: Technonikol, Rockwood, Rockfacade.

Foam plastic (expanded polystyrene)

This construction material is used for heat insulation of buildings and constructions in the implementation of both external and internal works (basements).

Using of foam plastic in living quarters is not recommended.
Advantages of foam plastic:
-Thermal conductivity.
This is explained by full closing foam plastic cells and their many-sided form (0,3-0,5 mm.). Closed cycle of the air in cells reduce heat exchange and hinders the penetration of coldness. If the density of the plate is higher, the insulating characteristics of the foam plastic will be better.

There are several types of density: 15, 25, 35 mm. During the construction we don`t recommend using foam plastic with its density less than 25 mm.
- Soundproof and windproof characteristics.
Walls, insulated with foam plastic, don`t require additional protection from the wind. Besides, using foam plastic significantly increases soundproofing of buildings and constructions.

For qualitative insulation from outside noises it`s enough to put the material layer, which thickness is about 5 mm. Good heat insulation and soundproofing depends on the thickness of the foam plastic layers.
- Low water absorption.
Comparing to another materials, foam plastic is characterized by low absorbability. Even with the direct impact of water, it absorbs minimum amount of moisture. It`s so because water can`t seep through the walls of the foam plastic cells, but goes only along separate channels through the connected cells.
- Durability of foam plastic. Foam plastic plates don`t change their physical characteristics during long period of time. They can withstand considerable pressure and at the same time don`t collapse or change the form. The degree of resistance depends on the thickness of the plate, its density and compliance with the rules for stowage.

The foam plate has some flaws, such as comparative combustibility and lack of vapor permeability. Also the foam plastic may become a home for rodents.

Manufacturers: Stolit, Scanmix, Mlievsky factory.

Extruded expanded polystyrene:

This is a kind of foam plastic with a little modified production process. Thus, it has got more positive qualities, than usual foam plastic, but at the same time it has inherited all the flaws. Extruded expanded polystyrene – is a light material, filled with gas. To get this material it`s been used polystyrene copolymers of styrene and its derivatives, which are made by advanced technology, based on gas filling and foaming the granules of starting material by heating method. The main advantage of extruded expanded polystyrene – is its high durability that allows using it not only for external heat insulation, but also for floor, buckles and even road laying. Low water absorption is caused by low capillarity of the material. Due to this characteristic thermal conductivity of the amplifier is almost absent (even despite on its staying in the excess moisture conditions). And this characteristic allows us to use the material for heat insulation of basements, foundations, floors and roofing systems without using additional waterproofing. Water absorption occurs only on the surface of material because of the destroyed small cells inside it and their slow filling with water. Extruded expanded polystyrene doesn`t maintain biological activity and vital functions of fungus. But at the same time it`s understood, that despite the large number of advantages, this material is dangerous because of the high degree of combustibility. One more important factor in the selection of construction materials is reinforcing net, adhesive mixture and dye. Let’s consider this question in detail: Construction teams often use the materials with low quality, for example reinforcing nets. The goal – is cost-cutting.

Priming

– is basic frame, which is used for heat insulation and waterproofing, consisting of glass fiber nets, impregnated with a special composition, resistant to alkalis. The most prevalent net density is 90-165 g/m. During the heat insulation of the houses it`s recommended to use net with its density not less 160 g/m. Otherwise the density of the surface will be less, that can cause the emergence of cracks and damage. We don`t recommend saving on material. Always trace what material has the contractor brought to you. Now let`s talk about mixture. Choosing the material, you should pay attention on next indexes: high adhesion, plasticity, lightness simplicity in utilization, vapor permeability, weathering resistance, environmental safety and quantity of fiberglass. Alteza Company recommends next manufacturers: Ceresit CT85, Scanmix armix term and Caparol ct 190. Warning: don`t become a victim of unscrupulous companies, that have the habit to reduce the indexes of mixtures for price reduction. Using the services of such companies may cause full remake of implemented work and double overpayment. So, if you want to save your money, you should use the services of real professionals, who make their work qualitatively and for affordable price. Alteza Company will always help you. And now we approached the painting works and selection of the paint. Painting the decorative plaster or smooth facade, you must remember one thing: the paint will meet with strong atmosphere impact. Therefore it must be proof. Remember: in the low price segment there are only those paints, which can resist to weather conditions only for a short period of time. So, the walls will look good about a year. But then external changes will become more perceptible. Paint resistance depends on its type, base and pigment dyes, added for color. Unscrupulous builders use cheap low-quality paints and colorants. Of course, such work is cheaper, but there is no guarantee. Our Company uses only qualitative facade materials, which have appropriate certificates: Ceresit, Triora and Caparol. These manufacturers have proven themselves as reliable helpers in the facade heat insulation. We are confident in our work. That`s why, relying on the high quality of used materials and high professionalism of the masters, Alteza Company gives each customer the full guarantee on accomplished work – 3 years.
